Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These terms cover how you can use Finzya, what you can expect from us, and the limits of the service. Plain language, no surprises.
Who We Are
Finzya is a trading name of Guillaume Corneloup, a sole trader based in England, United Kingdom ("Finzya", "we", "us", "our"). Finzya is not a separate company. We operate the finzya.com website and the Finzya application at finzya.app, and we provide and operate the service these terms cover. Paid subscriptions are purchased through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as our Merchant of Record. See "Subscriptions & Billing" below. You can reach us at contact@finzya.com.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Finzya, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free plan users, and paid subscribers.
Description of Service
Finzya is a personal finance tracking and planning application, provided for your personal, non-commercial use. It lets you record your financial accounts, track income and expenses, set budgets and categories, plan savings goals, and project net worth, retirement, and FIRE scenarios. Your financial data is added by you, by entering it manually or by importing files such as CSV exports. Finzya will never ask for your online banking login details.
Account Registration
To use Finzya you must create an account with a valid email address, or sign in with Google. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, and you must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the decisions you make based on it. Finzya is a tool to help you organise and plan. The figures, projections, and analyses are only as accurate as the information and assumptions you provide. You agree to keep your login details secure and to use the service in line with these terms and applicable law.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Finzya only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use the service to store or transmit harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems; interfere with or disrupt the service; scrape or copy it at scale; or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly permits.
Subscriptions & Billing
Paid subscriptions are purchased through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as our Merchant of Record and is the seller for the transaction. Paddle processes payments, applicable taxes, subscription billing and refunds, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. Finzya remains responsible for providing and operating the Finzya service. Your card details are handled directly by Paddle and we never see or store your full card number. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis, monthly or annually as you choose, and renew automatically until you cancel. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay, inclusive of any VAT or sales tax due in your country; the price and billing cycle are shown clearly before you confirm. We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice, and any change will only apply from your next billing period, never to a period you have already paid for.
Cancellation & Refunds
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the free plan. Cancelling does not delete your data. In addition to your statutory rights, we offer our own 14-day money-back guarantee on a first subscription. That guarantee, what happens if a renewal catches you out, and how to ask for a refund are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. The guarantee is a commercial promise we make on top of the law; it does not define, replace or limit your statutory cancellation rights as a consumer in the UK or EEA.
Your Data
Your financial data remains yours. We do not acquire ownership of the financial information you enter into Finzya, and we do not use it for purposes other than those described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time via CSV. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, either from your settings or by contacting us, and we will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable data protection law. Certain information may be retained where required by law or for other legitimate purposes described in our Privacy Policy, such as billing and tax records.
Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in your settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, or use the service unlawfully or in a way that harms the service or other users. Where practical, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right first. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you can export your data beforehand, and your personal data is then handled as described in "Your Data" above and in our Privacy Policy.
Availability & Changes to the Service
We aim to keep Finzya available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may update, improve, replace or discontinue features of Finzya from time to time. We will not make changes that materially reduce paid functionality during a prepaid subscription period without reasonable notice or an appropriate remedy, such as a pro-rata refund. We may temporarily suspend access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or technical reasons, and we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Intellectual Property
Finzya, its name, logo, design, and all related software and content are the intellectual property of Guillaume Corneloup, trading as Finzya. Using the service does not grant you any ownership rights over the software or its design. Your own financial data remains yours.
Disclaimer: Not Financial Advice
The projections, calculations, and analyses provided are based on the data and assumptions you enter. They are illustrative only: not predictions, recommendations, or guarantees of future results. Finzya does not assess whether any investment, financial product, strategy, contribution level, withdrawal rate, or financial decision is suitable for you. Any tax calculations or assumptions are illustrative and may not reflect your individual circumstances or current tax law. You should not rely on Finzya as a substitute for professional advice. We recommend consulting a qualified, regulated financial professional before making financial decisions.
Limitation of Liability
Finzya provides information and projections to support your own financial planning, and you remain responsible for the financial decisions you make using that information. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, or for losses resulting from decisions based on assumptions, projections or information generated from data you provide, except where the loss results from our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Finzya is provided for personal use, so we are not responsible for any business or commercial losses, such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any dispute arising from them or from your use of Finzya are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EEA, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to Finzya, applicable law, or our business practices. If we make changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through the application. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent. Changes will not apply retrospectively. If you do not agree to an updated version, you can stop using Finzya and cancel any paid subscription before the change takes effect.
