About Finzya

The story behind Finzya.

Finzya is built and run by one person, for a very practical reason: the spreadsheet stopped scaling. Here is the story, the principles behind the app, and how your data is treated.

The story

It started as a spreadsheet.

Finzya began the way most personal-finance systems do: a spreadsheet. Budgets, investments, net worth, projections — it all worked, until it didn't. Formulas broke, charts hit their limits, and keeping a dozen tabs in sync became a job of its own.

The tools available at the time didn't quite fit either. Some demanded more access than felt comfortable; most stopped at this month's spending, when the interesting questions are about the years ahead: am I on track? When could I stop working? What does this decision cost me in ten years?

So Finzya was built to answer those questions — first as a side project, now as the tool its creator uses every day to run his own finances. Every feature exists because it answered a real question about real money.

In practice

What you can do with it.

Track your portfolio

Accounts, assets, liabilities and transactions — in any currency, all in one place.

Understand your spending

Monthly budgets, category breakdowns and trends that show where the money actually goes.

Plan ahead

Growth projections, FIRE scenarios and retirement planning built on your real numbers.

Stay in control

You enter the data — by hand or via CSV — so you always trust what the charts show.

How it's built

The principles behind it.

01

Privacy first

No third-party data sharing, no advertising trackers. Your financial data is yours.

02

Your data, entered by you

Manual entry and CSV import keep you in control of what goes in — and confident in what comes out.

03

Analytics that help you think

Charts, breakdowns and projections built to answer real questions, not to look impressive.

04

Simple where possible

Powerful where it matters, calm everywhere else.

Behind the scenes

A one-person project.

Finzya is designed, built and maintained by one person — from the interface down to the database. That keeps it fast to improve and honest about what it is: a tool built out of genuine need, not a growth target.
